Center for Wooden Boats: Shop Lift Project

OAC recently managed the design and construction of a shop lift and boat hoist at The Center for Wooden Boats in South Lake Union. The new lift system can accommodate boats as heavy as 2000 lbs on an overhead beam and trolley system where they can then be rolled into the shop for maintenance. Engineering work also included the reinforcement of the roof structure to accommodate the hoist system. OAC is proud to team with the AGC, BNBuilders, Yakima Steel, Scott Galvanizing, and Wirta Architectural Fabrication for this unique South Lake Union community project to benefit the Center for Wooden Boats.

Check out the lift in action.
