Kasey Wyatt promoted to Principal at OAC

If you’ve met Kasey, you know why she was promoted to Principal – she’s a tenacious advocate for her clients, a skilled and thoughtful project manager, and a true collaborator. Since joining OAC in 2006, Kasey has made the firm better – she’s enhanced the project and construction management practice, she’s transformed OAC’s education focus, and shown herself to be a consummate leader.

“I knew when I met Kasey in 2001 that she had the skills needed to manage the chaos of construction—the drive to get things done, clear communication style, follow through and integrity. I continued to follow her career and sell her on the idea of joining OAC until she finally accepted in 2006,” said Dan Chandler, Principal (and the guy who recruited Kasey). “Since then, she has been one of the key reasons OAC is now a leader in K-12 project management services in Washington. I could not be more proud to say I am her partner.”

Now leading the OAC EDU group, which is focused on project and construction management for education facilities, Kasey has worked tirelessly to broaden how the company supports school districts and other education institutions. From in-depth bond planning and programming support that addresses more than just future projects, to methodologies that have shown educators how schedules and budgets can be predictable, to introducing and guiding brand new delivery methods to help budget conscious public schools, Kasey is the epitome of a thought leader in education facility design and construction.

“Kasey truly is OAC thru and thru, and represents this company and the people in it everywhere she goes,” Jeff Jurgensen, Regional Director of the OAC Spokane office and Senior Associate, said. “I am so proud and happy to call her my friend and colleague and know she always has the employees of OAC first in her thoughts. She has the biggest heart and it shows in everything she does.”

As the manager of the Olympia office, she’s broadened OAC’s services and clients, introducing more opportunities to serve customers and expanded the practice out to municipal and public work projects. The Olympia office has gone on to lead some of OAC’s most significant bond and grant program efforts on behalf of public schools throughout the State of Washington, including overseeing the Tahoma School District’s massive bond program. This program led to the Tahoma High School and Regional Learning Center’s design and construction – the largest high school in the state at the time, the school went on to win numerous prestigious national and regional awards and honors. Kasey led the project and the bond program efforts.

If that wasn’t enough, when OAC gives back to the community – whether it’s a full day of volunteering at a Youthcare facility to redo the entire grounds or an enormous holiday celebration for the less fortunate for Mary’s Place or a 5k on a hot summer’s day for the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation, Kasey is there. And with every opportunity, she exemplifies OAC’s values – she cultivates love, generates energy and inspires audacity. Kasey’s big heart and dedication, her focus on how OAC can improve the community and her leadership with charitable activities are additional examples of why she’s been recognized by the firm.

“Kasey is devoted to OAC, our industry, partners, friends, family and greater causes around the world. Her depth of knowledge and experience is unbeatable, and she has such a big heart. She makes the growth and goals of others around her a personal priority and has grown into a true leader,” Tansy Hansen, Senior Project Manager in the Olympia office remarked.

As a client-focused subject matter expert with 22 years of experience, Kasey represents why OAC has ongoing success as a firm. Her commitment, her enthusiasm, her technical acumen and her collaborative nature continue to make OAC’s services beyond comparison and the company one of the best places to work.
