OAC soars to the top of Washington’s Best Workplaces

If there was any question about what an incredible place to work OAC Services is, it was answered last night when the company was honored as No. 7 (for companies with 50 to 99 workers) by The Puget Sound Business Journal’s Washington’s Best Workplaces 2017.

On August 4th, PSBJ hosted their annual awards gala at Safeco Field. 87 companies made the list this year, and during a beautiful evening, more than 1,200 attendees enjoyed access to the fields – running the bases, throwing fast balls, exploring the dugouts, and mingling with fellow honorees over dinner.

It’s the first time OAC Services has ever tried to make this list, so it was extra special to make it into the top 10.

We were able to pull of this impressive feat because we scored exceptionally high on every criteria used to judge companies for the list. Supported by a third-party, Quantum Workplace, the awards are based upon the number of employees who fill out surveys about their employer and how high each company is ranked by their employees on key criteria. From wellness to benefits, leadership to the work environment, the surveys are then tabulated and analyzed by Quantum Workplace to find the happiest employees. The surveys rated OAC exceptionally high in every category – propelling us to the top of the list.

“I say this all the time because it’s true – we’re a great company because we have great employees,” Shawn Mahoney, OAC’s Managing Principal, said. “We’ve known this for a long time and we make it a core principle. We are OAC – every single one of us, and knowing this compels our people to create the best culture possible. We’re seeing this pay off now. We’re all being recognized by this award. It’s our employees telling us we’re doing things right and the larger business community acknowledging our success. It all comes down to who we are – we’re OAC and we’re the best at what we do.”
