Project Overview

OAC provided GC/CM consulting services to the City of Yakima for their Capitol Theatre Expansion Project.  The historic Capitol Theatre needed to expand in order to accommodate newer Broadway shows.  The expansion included adding a loading dock for production sets, upgrading all the electrical, adding new dressing rooms, and a Black Box theatre.  This project required a GC/CM delivery method due to the restricted downtown construction site, the coordination with the Federal Courthouse and US Bank next door, and the complex scheduling around the seasonal operation of the Theatre.

OAC assisted the City of Yakima in obtaining PRC approval, coordinated the RFP selection process, negotiated the contract, and provided advisory services during construction.
