Project Overview

Located in the heart of SODO, the developer/builder and architect envisioned a centerpiece for nature of the community.  Within walking distance of Safeco Field, Century Link Field, and historical Pioneer Square, Home Plate Center will create a retail, commercial, and gathering place for people to enjoy.  It was designed to be a vibrant example of sustainable architecture that provides an iconic building for the community.

Home Plate Center Phase 1 is a 6-story, post-tensioned concrete slab, office tower that will provide 141,000 square feet of leasable space as well as a 37,000 square foot, below-grade parking garage.  The developer/builder hired OAC to review the building enclosure details so the architect could provide a tight set of waterproofing details.  OAC was also hired to review submittals pertaining to the building enclosure and perform field observations during construction, to confirm the details were being installed as designed.

In the end, OAC provided project support from the design process through the end of construction and ensured the client that they received the best end product available.  OAC was able to work with the design team, contractors, and manufacturer representatives to provide water-tight details and installation for an iconic building in the SODO community.
