Project Overview

As the twin to Phase 1, Home Plate Center Phase 2 creates an atmosphere in the heart of the SODO district of Seattle.  The developer/builder and the Architect envisioned a sustainable hub, designed to reflect the landscape and the environment.  Phase 2 provides ideal office spaces with views of Elliot Bay, Mount Rainier and the Seattle skyline, as well as exterior gathering spaces

Home Plate Center Phase 2 is a 7-story, post-tensioned concrete slab, office tower that will provide 300,000 square feet of leasable space as well as 4-stories of parking.  The developer/builder retained OAC for Phase 2 because of the good working relationship and team approach that many clients look for.  OAC attended pre-construction meeting with all of the sub-contractors, reviewed submittals pertaining to the building enclosure, and performed field observations during construction, to confirm the details were being installed as designed.

In the end, OAC was able to provide the client with quality project support from the design process through the end of construction.  OAC was able to work with the design team, contractors, and manufacturer’s representatives to provide a water-tight building and a smooth construction process for this soon-to-be community hub.
