Project Overview

The new Kenmore City Hall was completed in May 2010 on time and under budget.  It is a 36,930 sq. ft. facility that includes a City Council Chambers and Executive Sessions room, a Community Meeting room, City Administration offices and 37 stalls of underground parking.  The site includes pervious pavement, rain garden, decomposed granite gathering areas, and 25 surface stalls tucked behind the building and surrounded by landscaping.

The building is an “essential facility” designed to a higher seismic performance than standard buildings, and includes emergency power back-up. The Council Chambers and Executive Session room function as an emergency operation center.

The City Hall was designed for LEED Gold using environmentally friendly construction practices, a large amount of recycled content materials, and includes a green roof and photovoltaic panels. OAC provided project management and commissioning services for the City of Kenmore on this project.
