Project Overview

OAC Services managed construction of a new Public Safety Building for the City of Kirkland.  Located at Kirkland’s geographic center, behind the Totem Lake Fred Meyer, the building benefits the growing city by optimizing police response times, reducing inmate transportation and housing costs, and providing increased parking for Kirkland Municipal Court.

Annexations have added 30,000 new residents to Kirkland’s population. Consequently, the city needed increased jail space. The new building adds 40 beds to the city’s jail capacity, and includes enough room for a potential 30-bed expansion. The building also houses the new police headquarters and three new courtrooms.

Services for this project include contract and bidding, project management, and on-site construction management.

This adaptive re-use project is LEED Silver project.
