City of Everett Seismic Assessment

Overview

In 2013, the City of Everett Public Works department hired OAC to carry out a detailed seismic assessment of two existing buildings on their campus: Building 1, a 40-year old concrete tilt-up building housing Public Works and the Everett Building Department, and Building 4, a 25 year-old pre-fabricated steel building housing shops, maintenance equipment and vehicles. Structural Engineering

Condition and Risk Assessment

OAC’s engineers are often called to assess the condition of a variety of building types and quantify risk of failure or future performance problems for building owners.

Seismic Upgrade

Our experience with existing structures maps well with our seismic screening, evaluation and upgrade work.

Post-fire Evaluation

Fires can be devastating to building structures and those who own and occupy them; OAC prides itself on its quick and diligent response when it comes to post-fire evaluation and assessment.

Stabilization and Shoring

Permanent stabilization and temporary shoring are often required as a first phase of repair and reconstruction such that the structures can be maintained for safe use by the public.

Repair and Reconstruction

Extent of damage, remaining service life and future use are some of the factors that dictate the details of the structural repair and reconstruction projects we have consulted on.
