Giving Back

Giving back to our local, regional, and international communities is something we hold in high regard. Social responsibility is intertwined with everything we do, and we are proud to have partnered with the following wonderful organizations by volunteering our time and donating funds.

We serve our clients – and our communities. We see the built environment as a place where people live, work, learn and play. At OAC, social responsibility, sustainable design, and fostering healthy communities are ingrained in everything we do, and this compels us – as a company and individuals – to volunteer our time and resources to help organizations, non-profits, and community groups in a concerted effort to improve lives, cultivate love and inspire.

Sister Schools

Since 2006, OAC has raised more than $50,000 toward the Sister Schools Resource Center project, which transforms annual shipping containers into permanent resource center / library facilities at grade schools in Uganda.

Seattle Animal Shelter / Help the Animals Fund

Since 2016, OAC has supported Help the Animals Fund / Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation at their annual Furry 5k. In the last two years a total of 56 adults, 15 kids, and 31 dogs have completed the Furry 5k as part of Team OAC.

In 2016, OAC held a clothing and hygiene drive for YouthCare. We gathered donations of clothing, shoes, and hygiene basics like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and sunscreen. Later that summer OAC returned to provide a day of caring. Small projects from interior hallway painting to exterior trellis painting, a bathroom retrofit, deck plantings and furniture installation, landscaping improvements and paver installation were performed.

Little League

Several OAC employees have donated time to local Little Leagues, and OAC has pitched in with team sponsorships.

Travis Manion Foundation - 9/11 Heroes Run

Since 2016 OAC has supported the Travis Manion Foundation by participating at their annual 9/11 Heroes Run. The run unites communities internationally to honor and never forget the heroes of September 11th and the those who have fallen in the war since: Veterans, First Responders, Civilians, and Military.

OAC Team participation consisted of 12 adults, 1 baby, and 1 furry friend.
