Congratulations to Jeff Jurgensen and Jonathan Miller for receiving Community Leadership Awards at the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) Region 101 Luncheon. They were nominated by Brian Talbott of Nine Mile Falls School District (NMFSD) for their commitment, dedication, and generosity to Washington State K12 students.

Jeff and Jonathan provided management services for the District on remodels at two elementary schools. Afterward, both Jeff and Jonathan continued to support the District with facilities planning, maintenance scheduling, and budgeting for future projects.

In January 2016, the District applied for a STEM Facilities Grant through the Office of The Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). As part of this grant opportunity, the District was required to procure $100,000 through monetary, equipment, and/or in-kind donations prior to submitting the proposal. As representatives of OAC, Jeff and Jonathan provided the bulk of this commitment and agreed to work as construction managers if the District received the grant. In May 2016, the NMFSD was awarded a $1.3 million grant to construct a modular science lab at Lakeside High School. With Jeff and Jonathan’s help, NMFSD students are now experiencing hands-on science unavailable to them less than a calendar year ago.

Please join us in acknowledging Jeff and Jonathan’s exemplary service to the District.
