Redevelopment and modernization of life science office building

OAC worked with BioMed Realty to transform the 50,000-square-foot office building in John Hopkins Court to support growing life science operations. The redevelopment included adding electric car charging stations and modernizing the lobby, restrooms, elevators, and exterior façade. Additionally, we provided assessment and reengineering of mechanical and electrical infrastructure and equipment throughout the building. The 4 separate suites were originally designed as spec suites but were redesigned to meet each tenant’s specific needs.

Our team handled any challenges that came our way quickly and efficiently. At one point, we found that the originally planned pre-used chillers were at high-risk for ongoing issues. Through meticulous planning, strategy generation, and efficient decision-making, we reengineered, redesigned, and replaced the failed equipment and chillers in a matter of weeks. Dedicated to reaching the client’s goals, we produced an on-time and under-budget delivery of all project phases.
