Better functionality for better healthcare delivery

OAC successfully oversaw the design and construction of the 60,000-square-feet medical office building (MOB), Mason Clinic. As a result of our guidance and breaking down silos between the owner, contractor, and design team, we saved the owner over $2 million, allowing them to add another program.

Our team worked with Mason General Health (MGH) to strategically bring together 11 hospital-owned clinics all under one roof, which previously operated in stand-alone buildings on the campus. By doing so, we helped Mason Clinic increase patient and physician access in the clinic by approximately 50%, from 71 to 110 exam rooms. The new functionality of the campus increases staff efficiencies, provides better access to MGH service lines, and improves patient and staff flow contributing to an enhanced patient experience and exceeding MGH vision of delivering the best-integrated healthcare delivery in the Pacific Northwest.

OAC guided MGH through the GC/CM application and approval process, allowing us to bring on the contractor early. We managed significant site improvements, including expanding and increasing parking by roughly 325 stalls in the south-central parking lot and 2 newly developed parking lots. Mason Health Clinic sits adjacent to the existing hospital, connecting to the hospital on both levels.
