Designed to engage students, businesses, and the community, the Washington State University’s (WSU) North Puget Sound, Everett Academic Center, plays a crucial role in providing STEM-based baccalaureate and graduate programs to the North Puget Sound region.
The center is a 95,000-square-feet, $72.3-million, state-of-the-art, high-performance academic facility with green features spotted throughout campus. OAC was selected to provide strategic procurement planning to address industry feedback on the expense to compete in traditional Design-Build competitions. The facility incorporates multiple energy efficiency and environmentally responsible measures, with a three-year performance guarantee tied to the Design-Builder’s contract.
Our team played an essential role in developing the process and agreements to ensure the WSU will receive a highly efficient, fiscally responsible facility that will stand the test of time.
